Belio is a venture undertaken by two local visionaries: Mr. Juan Ruiz Valdez, a renowned architect originally from Ensenada, and Miguel Nava, the chef at Belio Restaurant. After a year and a half of intense searching for the right place near the waterfront, they found an abandoned house in El Sauzal, just north of Ensenada, that has undergone a full restoration to make it into a desirable space.
Chef Miguel Nava has instilled a style that has its roots in Mexico City known as “Cocina de Autor” a Fusion style that always uses local fresh ingredients and always takes risks by experimenting with progressive mixture of foods.
